Jacqui grew up in Hong Kong and Auckland.
What led you to working at Healthy Families South Auckland?
As the daughter of migrants, I have a deep appreciation of the value of food for both our wellbeing and the ongoing connection to our cultures. I’ve brought this appreciation through my work as a public health dietitian, senior health advisor, and now as a Healthy Families food systems lead.
What is your current role?
My current role is Food Systems Lead, which involves partnering with families, organisations and local government colleagues to facilitate innovative change in our local food systems so they are supportive of our communities wellbeing.
What projects are you currently working on and what impact do they have on the community?
What is one funny/quirky/interesting thing that no-one knows about you?
My dad was a tennis champion in Hong Kong.
